The 59 Fly Fishers takes its name from the year it was formed 65 years ago this year by a group of responsible and enthusiastic anglers dedicated to fly fishing of the highest quality.

Over the years we have built a wide portfolio of exciting and diverse fishing venues that stretch the experienced angler whilst encouraging the novice to learn and develop the wonderful sport of fly fishing.

We fish for Trout and Grayling in som
e of the most desirable rivers in Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Herefordshire.

We fish for Salmon and Sea Trout on the Dovey and the Teme and have a well stocked Trout Lake in Worcestershire with rainbow and brown trout over 5lbs.

There is also excellent coarse fishing available on one of our rivers.

Our members enjoy a wonderful stretch of the River Dove made famous by Izaak Walton in his renowned book ‘The Compleat Angler’ set in the magnificent scenery of the Peak District with a river keeper, private parking and member’s facilities.

The 59 Fly Fishers are committed to the environmental care of our waters with volunteer managers for each fishery.

Key waters are carefully stocked each year and we only use barbless hooks for trout and grayling.

We encourage our members to help in the care and maintenance of the river banks with voluntary working parties that are both rewarding and enjoyable.

Guest tickets are available to each member that allow them to share and enjoy the waters with a guest
*.

If you are interested in the 59 Flyfishers please have a look at the rest of our website which gives more information on our fisheries and details on how to join.

The Club takes Bio-security very seriously and encourages all members to take regard of the Check, Clean and Dry policies from the Environment Agency to try to ensure that we do not transfer any undesirable agents from one water to another.

If you wish to fish accompanied by your dog, please do not let the dog swim in our waters since this blows holes straight through any Bio-security policies

Post codes for those with Sat. Navs. for our waters are available to our members. These maps are now available on line for Members to download or copy.
